Are you curious about the meaning of your life? Perhaps you feel drawn to a particular place or period of time? Do you have irrational fears or beliefs and wonder where they came from? Do you believe in reincarnation and wonder if you have lived before and what that life would have been like?
As I mentioned on the home page, I am an energist. Energy doesn't stop, it simply changes form. I believe that the energy that is me, and the energy that is you, that many call the Soul or Spirit, can be thought of as similar to an individual cell within a body; we are different but we are part of one body described in various ways by different cultures and religions (Source, God, Goddess, Universe, One). We operate as an individual soul or spark of consciousness having many experiences throughout life as a human being. When the body is worn out, our energy changes form, moving from the restriction of a physical existence to one of pure vibration and frequency, until that energy is ready to experience a human life again. Through birth and re-birth the soul spark carries forward experiences and learning from one lifetime to another. As eternal souls, we choose physical life on earth in many different bodies each with their own personality, experiencing a host of issues and emotions. Sometimes we end one physical experience still holding on to traumatic events that can be carried over as a vibration into the next incarnation; the intention is to provide another opportunity for resolution and healing, but since the information is stored deep in our core our conscious mind often has difficulty interpreting the messages being sent out. We may be inexplicably drawn or repelled to certain people or places, or have irrational fears, phobias or behaviours.
Of course, there are always other explanations, and it may be that you belief system makes it impossible to believe in reincarnation. That's OK. Is it possible for you to believe in ancestral memory at the level of DNA? .
Research from Emory University School of Medicine, in Atlanta, has shown that it is possible for some information to be inherited biologically through chemical changes that occur in DNA. During the tests they learned that mice can pass on learned information about traumatic or stressful experiences - in this case a fear of the smell of cherry blossom - to subsequent generations.
Even those who do not believe in reincarnation or ancestral memory can still greatly benefit from past life regression therapy as the experience of a different personality in a different time and place gives a symbolic metaphor for the issues faced in the current life. Often those having experienced it find their own answers to issues that seemed irresolvable. Past Life Regression Therapy helps you search for the roots of your issues buried somewhere deeply in your own subconscious.
Although the journey into a past life experience is interesting, it is only a precursor for the therapy element that is so essential but not always provided by therapists who have simply completed a short training in life past regression. The therapy element may involve clearing of energy attachments that have become entangled within your system, or it may also involve psycho-drama that allows us to fully clear any unresolved ideas, emotions and situations that are encoded within the energy system and continue to negatively impact your wellbeing.
What happens in the session?
Following an in depth consultation you will be guided into a hypnotic trance. Many people equate hypnosis with mind control, such as seen on TV and stage, but of course the exercises participants in those shows are asked to complete in the audience are designed to identify those who are not only suggestible but will also be 'good entertainment' before they are called to the stage. As stated elsewhere on this site, hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation that allows the conscious mind to become more passive.
Hypnotic trance is a pleasant dreamlike state allowing access to the subconscious mind. This is the state of mind in which Past Life Regression Therapy works. It is your own mind that taps into experiences from the deep subconscious memory. Throughout the past life regression therapy session there is a part of your consciousness that acts as guardian, observing what is happening, always in control and monitoring your safety: at the same time another part of your consciousness is 'seeing' and experiencing a life in another time and place, hearing conversations and feeling the emotions that accompany different situations - some people are aware of the smells of the environment. There are no hard and fast rules - some people experience the whole life sequentially, others move through a series of significant moments within a life.
When the life review is complete, and we have healed any unresolved trauma, then you simply open your eyes - just like waking up from a dream. It’s you who is in control and your subconscious knows what to do. Most people are immediately aware of a change within themselves, they feel lighter, calmer, more in control and centred. For some people, though, it takes a few days before they fully experience the benefits of the session.
More and more often, people are coming out of the regression sessions feeling that, not only have they healed a past trauma, but they have also connected with and benefited by tapping into a positive quality of that life.
If you wish, the regression will be recorded and emailed to you after the session so you can listen at your own convenience to remind yourself of the insights you discovered.
